Contacting Your Provider

Emergency Calls

If you are experiencing what you believe is a life threatening emergency, dial 911.

Medical and Dental Providers

To contact your medical or dental provider, please call the clinic where you were seen (see location tab above).   In most cases your provider will be busy seeing patients when you call, but will return your call when time permits, usually within 24 hours.  If your provider cannot take your call, leave a message and ask for a return call.

If you are experiencing an urgent problem please explain the nature of your problem and your desire for urgent medical advice.  The nurse on duty will take your call if possible, or will return your call as quickly as time permits.

Mental Health and Substance Abuse Providers

If you are a patient in WOH's Mental Health Department, you may contact your provider by calling 510-835-9610.

If you are a patient in WOH's Substance Abuse Department, you may contact your provider by calling the site where you are receiving care. For the Methadone or Options Programs, call 510-835-9610. For Community Recovery Center East, call 510-729-8800. The switchboard operator will connect you with your provider if he/she is available.

If your provider is busy with another client, you may leave a message. Your call will be returned as soon as possible, generally the same business day.

Urgent concerns will be forwarded to an on-call provider who will return your call.
